Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God and mankind’s dependency is not just physical but spiritual.

2 Timothy 3:16

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Matthew 4:4

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We believe Jesus bequeathed to us an inheritance of teaching both as to method and content.

Matthew 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:15-16

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

We believe that The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit represent the unity of the God Head which furnishes the existence of the One Church built by Jesus Christ.

John 14:11

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

1 John 5:7

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Ephesians 4:4-6

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

We believe that all the power Jesus possessed, He used it to serve not be served.

Matthew 20:26-28

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;  27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Galatians 6:9

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

We believe God wants all of mankind to worship Him in spirit and truth. The phrase in spirit and truth describes the two essential characteristics of true worship. In spirit: distinguishes from place or form. In truth: distinguished from false conceptions resulting from imperfect knowledge. Worship must correspond to the nature of its object, God.

John 4:23-24

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

We believe you must be born of water and spirit, which the Bible observes as preliminary conditions of entrance into the Kingdom of God. Jesus is the head of the Church, the Body of Christ, and as King of an organized Christian community, we must keep His commands if we love Him.

John 3:5

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 1:22-23

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all

We believe the plan of salvation is prescribed in the New Testament of the Bible. “A PLAN is a SET OF ACTIONS that have been thought of as a way to do or achieve something”. Jesus is the Mediator of the New Testament where the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ was God’s idea of inviting mankind back into a relationship with Him. Let the Bible speak:

  1. Hear- Romans 10:17-  17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

  2. Believe- Hebrews 11:6- 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  3. Repent- Luke 13:3- 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

  4. Confess- Acts 8:36-37- 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?  37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

  5. Be Baptized- Acts 2:38- 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We believe in singing Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs with grace in our hearts with acapella singing. In the Old Testament there were commands to do both, sing and play!

Psalms 33:3- 3 “Sing” unto him a new song; “play” skillfully with a loud noise.

In the New Testament there were no instruments in the worship service. The sang only without the accompanying of instruments.

Colossians 3:16

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

  1. Psalms- A psalm was originally a song accompanied by a stringed instrument. The idea of accompaniment passed away in usage, and the psalm in the New Testament with the spirit and with understanding (1Cor.14:15). Christians did not use mechanical instruments in worship, they sang without playing.

  2. Hymns- is a song of praise, especially used in celebration. (Matt.26:30) is an example of singing hymns with no music. Paul use them in scripture ex. (Eph.5:14).

  3. Spiritual Songs- usually recounted the acts of God and praised him for them (Rev.5:9, 15:3).
